Top of the "to-do" stack........

While at a quilt retreat with my BFF last Spring, I finished this quilt top. And then it came home with me and sat. I couldn't decide how I wanted to quilt it. But now I have a plan. I'd had the fabric for the longest time and I can't remember what it's called. I think it might be from Timeless Treasures? At first, I was going to send it out to be quilted but I really enjoy the entire process of quilting from the basting(I use spray)to the sewing.

This quilt will be for my one year old granddaughter when she gets a bit older.

The basic 12.5 inch square is made from two 6.5 inch squares and two 3.5 by 6.5 inch rectangles.

I'm going to use this fabric called Birds of a Feather to make a quilt using the same block. More birds.....and I love the feathers.

You know how they do "outtakes" of scenes that don't make it into a film for whatever reason? Even though the photo is blurry I want to share this behind-the-scenes outtake of Mr. White Socks helping me with my quilt photography! He's very supportive of my quilting and my little blog. And he reads my blog, too. I hope I'm not in trouble. :o)

Have a wonderful upcoming week!

Deborah xoxo

I really like the details in the fabric of your quilt - cute wee red birdies! I also like the addition of the darker border! Do I spy a book wall in the back of your outtake photo?? I do sooo love books.

Your quilt sparks a sweet memory of creating a baby quilt from those birdie fabrics in yellow and blue. I'm looking forward to seeing how you quilt it up!

That's a great outtake. My husband helps me too!

I love this little quilt, and I'll be interested to see how you decide to quilt it. With the simple pieces--so perfect for that conversational fabric--you could have a lot of fun!
