Charley Harper....a new pillow

When I first saw this Charley Harper fabric, I had no idea who Charley Harper was. Since then I've become a fan of his art. Mr. White Socks' Christmas present was a Charley Harper calendar for the new year. Each month has a wonderfully cheerful illustration.

I only bought 3 fat quarters. I have a tendency to buy more fabric than I need and in my mission to become more "sensible" about my purchases, I limited myself. I mixed in a couple of other non-CH fabrics to draw out the yellow/gold and peach colors.

And in other news, I think I've landed on a hexi quilt project that I just might stick with. I'm certain it is a project that will last until 2015.

I'm using reproduction fabrics. I've had some of the fabrics since the turn of the last century. Does that qualify them as vintage?

As this year comes to an end I want to thank-you so much for stopping by and visiting. I wish you the best for 2014 and hope it is a wonderfully productive and happy year for you.

See you soon.
Deborah xoxo

I love his fabric so much... but I'm not letting myself buy any until I know exactly what I want to make! Love this pillow.

Oh I do love that Charley Harper line, and you did a great job with it. I'd really love some of it, but I'm struggling to find somewhere online that has all the prints I want that won't cause me to bankrupt myself at customs :o(

How funny - I just discovered Charley Harper the other day, when I came across a Christmas quilt inspired by a print. I recognize a few of those turn-of-the-century repros from my own stash, too! I love how they look in hexies.

Didn't know about Charlie Harper fabric, but I know who he is. I've done several of his counted cross-stitch designs, with the cardinal (with snow piled on his head) being a favorite. Your pillow and mat are lovely. As for hexies... I'm thinking I'm going to be on an EPP hexie binge in 2014. One of Geta Grama's designs is calling me! Have a blessed and wonderful 2014, Deborah!
