| Do you have a favorite quilt holder? |
In my last post I showed this quilt top. I was undecided about what color border and binding to use. I guess I'm pretty predictable because I went with my favorite Kona White for the border. I wish I owned stock in Kona White.....
I used Loulouthi Triflora Lipstick (love that name) binding to pull out that particular rosy pink color in the quilt.
I remembered that I had paper pieced a loulouthi New York Beauty block months ago that was hiding along with other WIPs. I pulled that out and made a pillow to go with the quilt.
And now I'm very happy:o)because my guest room will have a mini-makeover just in time for the holidays.
I hope to see you back on Nov.14th. It's my day to post for the Travellin' Picstitch Blog Hop.

I wish I had stock in Kona Snow! That's my go to fabric choice. =)
You are always making so beautiful things, I love your quilt and the pillow!
Everytime I´m getting visitors, your wallhanging is getting a lot of compliments! I´m still so in love with it and it always make me smile when I see it!
Sending you lots of love! xxBarbina
We don't have a guest room per say. The 3rd bedroom is my craft room, although I have allowed grandchildren to bunk on the floor on blankets in there.
We do, however, have a great finished room in our basement. We do have a bed down there as well as a futon and a couch (and exercise equipment and the deep freeze).
You are really prompting me to make the bed look really nice down there as when my daughter and her family come to town for a night they do sleep down there.
Oh my gosh!! LOVE the quilt, and the pillow--both are so pretty. Great job!
What a lovely garden you have! and what a great finish! :)
That pillow + that quilt? Perfection! Thanks for linking up to Friday Felicities!
These are both lovely together! The layout on the quilt is very cool. :)
These are stunning!! The quilt is beautiful and the cushion is fantastic! I adore that fabric and the binding is so perfect :)
Really, reallllyyyy like the pillow! Don't get me wrong...the quilt is wonderful, but I'm in love with the fabric you used in the pillow. I don't recognize it. I think the white border was a wise choice and the dark pink binding, too. The white gives the eye a stopping point but the binding jumps you back to all the great pinks in the quilt.
Happy Thanksgiving!
They are both gorgeous Deborah. Your guest room will look wonderful!
Beautiful quilt and cushion. Love the fabrics. xx
