I haven't gotten much sewing done lately but all for good reason. Our little granddaughter, Callie Jane was born 2 weeks ago.
As soon as we got the call that Callie was on her way I hopped on a plane.
My son's family lives in San Antonio..... a mere 1, 577 miles from where we live. So when I visit, I stay a little while.

Silas and I were best pals and had lots of time to play together. I'll tell you...when it was time for me to leave.... my heart broke into bitty pieces.
My sister had our friend make this beautiful sweater for Callie. Barbara does the most exquisite work. Barbara....if you read this.....thank you so much! It's a treasure.
I have a few projects to share on Wednesday. It's nice to be back in the sewing swing of things. Sewing has a way of helping soothe long distance heartache.

I can well imagine how you felt when you had to leave that little angel and your grandson. I had to do the same when my only grandchild was born in Chicago and I had to return to Spain ....far far away!!!
