Something(s) New

I made a toddler quilt for a little friend of ours. When I was in San Antonio I met a lovely family who are friends of my son's family. They are visiting from Germany. Their son Paul doesn't have a little quilt of his own so the first thing I did when I got home was make him one. I've had the Sandy Gervais fabric "Lollipop" waiting for the perfect project.

The flannel backing isn't part of the collection. I found it at my LQS and was pleased at how it blends with the Lollipops.

Guess who?

I used a new template that arrived while I was away. The 5 inch charm pack tumbler template is from BrazosBottomQuilts. It works like a charm(sorry.)

You can see how little waste there is. Love it.

I also finished a mug rug made from a pattern designed by my blogging friend Amy. Mr.W(hite)S(ocks) now knows that a mug rug is a large coaster that you can fit more than a cup on. Can you think of a better description?
Amy's creations are remarkable! You can find her patterns on Craftsy.

See you soon! xoxo

both the little quilt and the mugrug are lovely! I wonder if you would answer a question about your template for me? It looks in your photo as if the bottom corners of the tumbler are blunted. Does this help with getting them aligned properly to sew?
