I just finished sewing a London pouch! Thanks to my UK friends for sharing their fabric. And now onto Hollywood.
Looks like London, doesn't it? This past weekend I went to Hollywood to visit my daughter, her husband and their assorted pets and to see Cirque Du Soleil which was showing in the Dolby Theater. (The Dolby is where they hold the Academy Awards.) There were London influences in all directions including the above window display and a statue of David Beckham.
David Beckham drew quite a crowd! There's something a tad unsettling about this statue. I admit....I got a little starstruck! I've lived in California my entire life but I'd never visited Grauman's Chinese Theater where the stars' handprints are. The next day we went to Santa Monica. Here's a peak at a few of the reasons it's one of my favorite places.
I got my sister a present! She loves the royal couple. We'll see if she really reads my blog!
Thanks so much, Cindy for hosting your Really Random Thursday Link Up!

What a fun post. What a fun weekend! I'm ready for a road trip down there with you...
oh how fun! I love that London fabric, had not seen that one before!
Looks like you all enjoyed yourselves! We are like everyone else, I guess, we live within a couple hours drive from there, but it has been 20+years since we went to Hollywood. We have driven past several times, lol. The Cirque Du Soleil sure is worth the trip ~
:-}pokey
Looks like a great time! There are so many California places I want to visit while we live here!
Very fun pouch! I agree Beckham is a bit freaky there! Looks like the silver surfer from X-men! Really Santa Monica could be the UK!! ;)
With all the British influence, you'd never know you were in Hollywood. Looks like it was a great trip. I grew up in the South (MS/TX/LA) so CA was always like a foreign country to me ... so far away. Now look where I am. Ha! Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful rest of the day. Tammy
If your sister doesn't comment then do we get her pressie instead? ;-)
I love the fabric used in the bag! It's so bright and crisp looking!
Looks like you had a lot of fun!
Ooookay, Beckham's bad enough in real life, that statue is seriously freaky!
It looks like you had such fun! Yes, don't like that statue much:-)
Love your new bag and the fabric.
Looks like you had a wonderful time in Hollywood!! Love seeing all the pics.

What fun! I love the pouch! I went to the Graumans theater when I was in high school. I must have seen Annie Get Your Gun in the same theater because I remember it was the theater for the Academy Awards!! Fun! Hmmmm...David Beckham...
Looks like you've had so much fun!!! Love the pouch and great photos, thanks for sharing. =)

I love your pouch! Silver D.B. is freaky...
Thanks for taking us to Hollywood!! I'm a Humphrey Bogart fan so it was extra fun that you showed his hand prints. Santa Monica looks lovely too. Your pouch is very cool, I like the shape of it.
