For the last couple of weeks I have been unable to work with both sides of my brain. My left brain has been so-so but my right brain has been slow-slow. In simple terms, the left brain is the logical, analytical side of the brain, while the right side serves the creative forces. I'm not sure of the moment when I came to a creative and blogging standstill.....but I became aware of it one morning when I couldn't find my oomph.
I decided that I needed to get back on the proverbial horse because I was missing my friends. I was missing the rhythm and the "excitement" of making something and being able to share it.
So these delightfully simple pincushions are my attempt at shaking up my right brain and getting back in my groove. I love Fiestaware and I have quite a few of the different colors. Wouldn't it be fun to make a pincushion in every color?
I'd like to thank Connie from Quilting by the River for featuring Simply Miss Luella and my mochi quilt on Linky Party Tuesdays. Connie is one of the kindest, most creative bloggers around. She has a way of making people feel special!
I'm excited about my very first one on one swap with Lizzie from Tasmania. It's a thrill to think about getting a gift all the way from Tasmania and from someone as talented as Lizzie!

The pincushions are great on their own, but putting them in the cups really makes them pop. Those pictures are really incredible!
