Simply swooning! WiP

Check out my Leap Day Give Away.

I want to give a round of applause and a kiss to whoever invented quilt retreats! I returned from one on Sunday afternoon.  It was the most fun I've had in ages. We (Cindy, Jennifer and Dotty) went to the beautiful Pines Resort.  I thought I would surely finish numerous projects. But I didn't. No pressure, here! I finished two Swoon Blocks and a few more Granny Squares.

Turquoise Swoon Block

The fabric I'm using for all nine Swoon blocks (did I say nine!!!) is Peacock Lane for Michael Miller. I'm being good and trying to use my stash. My husband reads my blog. And I think Peacock Lane does the trick. I'm drawn to bright colors. It's important to note that EACH swoon block is 24 and 1/2 inches!

And these are my granny squares.  They're fairly quick to make if you can make up your mind about which scraps you want to use. I dither too much. Which is why I only have four. But who's counting?

Love your swoons!
And I feel the same way about my granny squares!
I'm working on numbers 3 & 4 today, after dithering and arranging squares last night!

It was fun watching you "swoon"! And the colors in your granny squares are so cheery! (and I love to end every sentence with an exclamation mark...)

I love how colorful all your blocks are. Totally understand the lack of progress thing. I have grand plans, but fall woefully short each month, LOL!

Beautiful! I really need to try those swoon blocks! As for the granny squares--I was just playing around with some scraps for one today. Yep, I have trouble making decisions also! LOL

I'm not that into Swoon, love all the fabrics used, though.
The Granny Squares I LOVE!
And very much tempted to have a go at that myself.

I want to make both of these blocks! Yours are fabulous and I'm so glad y'all had a great retreat. Thay husband comment was too funny, I can totally relate. I almost didn't post my fabric purchase on my blog today! Ha! How funny is that. He hasn't said anything yet...

Oh, I'd be in trouble if my husband decided to read my blog! Still, I need to get swooning myself. I dither on the fabric choice for that endlessly. I hope I've got it figured out now!

Beautiful granny blocks - they are so much fun, don't you think?
